He completed undergraduate work at San Francisco State University, graduate school at Tuck at Dartmouth College, and post-graduate work at Krasnoyarsk State University.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWhen not writing, Kapono teaches at public and private schools on the Big Island of Hawaii and pursues an interest in improving healthcare for the native Hawaiian community.
