His books reflected that sustained engagement with American family dynasties, including the Bouviers, the Kennedys and the Guggenheims.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eDavis was born in Manhattan, New York, and died there in 2012.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eJohn H.
