About the author
ALICIA KING is an author, speaker, and songwriter who interviewed hundreds of people about grief to write Healing: The Essential Guide to Helping Others Overcome Grief & Loss.
King is an award-winning songwriter. She has also hosted a radio show on WAKM called Good Stuff.
When she’s not writing, King draws on extensive personal experience with loss: her mother’s death prompted a homicide investigation, and over the following eight years she lost her grandmother, stepfather, stepmother, and father as well. That experience of cumulative grief informs the personal wisdom woven through her work.
Alicia lives in Franklin, Tennessee, with her husband, Dan, and their two children.
