Thirty-eight godly qualities are defined, identified, and cross-referenced with other positive character traits, using direct examples from the novel Elsie Dinsmore, the first volume in The Original Elsie Classics. MICHAEL DANTE APRILE was a technical writer, United States Air Force veteran, and the author of The Character of Elsie Dinsmore, a study guide helping young readers explore godly character traits from Martha Finley’s classic novel.
Aprile spent his professional career authoring technical manuals before his retirement. A CD-ROM version of The Character of Elsie Dinsmore was also made available directly from him.
When not writing, Aprile pursued music and visual art, working as a singer, songwriter, and artist with a deep appreciation for literature. These creative and literary interests informed his engagement with classic works such as the Elsie Dinsmore series.
Michael Dante Aprile was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and lived in Clarksville, Tennessee, where he was a member of First Baptist Church. He died on May 26, 2025.
