Allison Shadday

ALLISON SHADDAY, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist with 14 years of professional experience counseling chronically ill patients and their families. She is the author of MS and Your Feelings: Handling the Ups and Downs of Multiple Sclerosis, the first book to specifically address the emotional pain caused by MS.

Shadday has presented at both regional and national MS conferences. Diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1995, she drew on both her clinical work and her personal experience with the disease in writing the book.

When she’s not writing, Shadday continues her practice as a psychotherapist specializing in chronically ill patients and their families. That firsthand and professional knowledge of living with MS shapes the emotional insight at the heart of her work.

Allison lives in Friday Harbor, Washington.

Allison Shadday’s books are published by Hunter House, an imprint of Turner Publishing.
