Ana Hernandez

ANA HERNÁNDEZ is a composer, arranger, performer, theomusicologist, and activist songleader who has made eight recordings. She is the author of The Sacred Art of Chant: Preparing to Practice.

Hernández is a member of the recording group HARC and has conducted workshops on the effects of rhythm and chant for more than a decade.

When she’s not writing, Hernández travels widely to lead retreats and facilitate workshops with groups of all sizes, collaborating to build community and create liturgies in many different styles. This work of gathering and deepening community through music and chant runs through everything she creates and collects.
