About the author
ANN GORDON is an AKC judge and Dachshund breeder with approximately 20 years of experience showing standard smooth Dachshunds in conformation competition. Her books include Dachshund: Your Happy Healthy Pet, 2nd Edition and The Dachshund: A Dog for Town and Country.
Gordon has judged at four Dachshund Club of America national specialty shows and has served the organization as 2nd Vice-President, 1st Vice-President, and as a member of its Board of Directors. Licensed by the American Kennel Club to judge Dachshunds since 1969, she is also licensed to judge Basset Hounds.
When she’s not writing, Gordon competes in dog shows and writes the Dachshund breed column for the AKC Gazette. Her books draw directly on her decades of hands-on experience breeding and judging the breed across the United States and Canada.
