BARBARA HOFFMAN is a Clinical Professor of Law at Rutgers Law School–Newark and the editor of A Cancer Survivor’s Almanac: Charting Your Journey, one of three editions of a consumer health book she has edited.
Hoffman holds an A.B. from Princeton University and a J.D. from Villanova University. Prior to joining Rutgers–Newark, she was co-director of the Appellate Advocacy Program at Seton Hall University School of Law.

She served as Founding Chair of the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship from 1986 to 2016 and was instrumental in founding the National Cancer Legal Services Network, causes that inform her extensive work on the legal rights of cancer survivors and people with disabilities.
