Barrett Seaman

BARRETT SEAMAN is a journalist and author who spent more than two years living among students at twelve colleges and universities across North America to write Binge: What Your College Student Won't Tell You. He is also the co-author of Going for Broke: The Chrysler Story, written with Michael Moritz.

Seaman served as a correspondent, White House correspondent, and editor at Time magazine, holding roles including senior editor and special projects editor. He holds a degree from Hamilton College, class of 1967, and has served as a charter trustee of the college in Clinton, New York.

When he’s not writing, Seaman serves as a founding director and former president of Choose Responsibility, a nonprofit focused on drinking age reform, and has written and edited for The Hudson Independent. His work on Binge grew directly from that engagement with campus culture.

Barrett Seaman’s books are published by Trade Paper Press, an imprint of Turner Publishing.
