About the author
BOB CHASE is a two-term president of the National Education Association and a contributor of the foreword to Teachers with the Courage to Give, edited by Jackie Waldman.
Chase taught for twenty-five years in the Connecticut public school system. His writing on education issues has appeared in the Christian Science Monitor, USA Today, and an NEA-sponsored column in the Washington Post.
When he’s not writing, Chase draws on his background in public education and advocacy to engage with national conversations about teaching and schools. That grounding in classroom experience and policy shapes his perspective on education reform.
