Bob Grannis

BOB GRANNIS was a Nashville-based photographer who began his career while serving in the Army in 1939 and chronicled the city for nearly six decades before retiring in 1997. His work supplied the images for Historic Photos of Nashville in the 50s, 60s, and 70s.

Grannis was widely known as "Nashville’s Largest Photographer." His archive, spanning the early 1940s through the late 1980s, includes images of the Grand Ole Opry, Nashville sports, weddings, and the city’s changing skyline, and is preserved by Grannis Photography in Nashville.

Bob Grannis’s books are published by Turner Publishing.
