Cary Hazlegrove

CARY HAZLEGROVE is a photographer who has been based on Nantucket since 1978. She is the author of Nantucket: The Quiet Season and Nantucket: Seasons on the Island.

Hazlegrove’s work has appeared in the New York Times and the Boston Globe. She serves on the board of the Nantucket Preservation Trust.

When she’s not photographing, Hazlegrove is engaged with the preservation and documentation of Nantucket, an island that has been central to her work for more than thirty years.

Cary lives in the village of Siasconset on Nantucket with her husband, Andy Bullington, a musician and composer, and their daughter, Virginia.
