Chef Rock Harper

RAHMAN "ROCK" HARPER is a chef, television personality, and restaurateur who won the third season of Hell’s Kitchen in 2007. He is the author of 44 Things Parents Should Know About Healthy Cooking for Kids.

Harper earned a culinary degree from Johnson & Wales University and built his career at restaurants including Café Calliope, Planet Hollywood, BET on Jazz Restaurant, and B. Smith’s Restaurant, where he served as executive chef.

When he’s not writing, Harper operates Queen Mother’s Fried Chicken and other restaurants in the Washington, D.C. area, and has served as the National Celebrity Chef for the March of Dimes since 2008. He has also been an instructor at Stratford University.
