Christine Horner

CHRISTINE HORNER, M.D., F.A.C.S., is a board-certified plastic surgeon certified by the National Board of Surgery and the National Board of Plastic Surgery, and the author of two books on women’s health. Her recent books include Radiant Health Ageless Beauty and Waking the Warrior Goddess: Dr. Christine Horner’s Program to Protect Against and Fight Breast Cancer.

Horner’s work has received formal recognition twice: Waking the Warrior Goddess won the Independent Book Publishers Award 2006 for Best Book in Health, Medicine, and Nutrition, and Radiant Health Ageless Beauty won the 2017 eLit Award in the same category.

When she’s not writing, Horner advocates for women’s health; in the 1990s she led the five-year Breast Advocacy Project, resulting in laws passed in 35 states and a federal law in 1998 requiring insurance coverage of breast reconstruction following mastectomy.

Christine lives in San Diego, California.
