Craig James

CRAIG JAMES is a former NFL running back and college football broadcaster with more than twenty years of experience covering the sport. He is the author of Game Day: A Rollicking Journey to the Heart of College Football.

James played running back for the SMU Mustangs as part of the "Pony Express" backfield alongside Eric Dickerson, went on to play for the New England Patriots, and appeared in Super Bowl XX. He later served as a college football analyst for ABC and ESPN, appearing on Thursday Night Football and Saturday college football games and studio shows.

When he’s not writing, James draws on his dual career as a player and broadcaster to examine college football from the inside. That experience shapes the perspective at the heart of Game Day.

Craig James’s books are published by Trade Paper Press, an imprint of Turner Publishing.
