About the author

DARRELL ANKARLO is a radio talk show host and author of three books, including Illegals, Another Man’s Sombrero and What Went Wrong with America... and How to Fix It.

Ankarlo’s broadcast career earned him six Talkers Magazine Heavy Hundred Awards, a Billboard Magazine Air Personality of the Year Award, the Scripps Howard Foundation Award for Journalistic Excellence, two Dallas Press Club Katie Awards, and an Emmy Award for a syndicated television show he created and hosted. The White House honored him with the President’s Volunteer Service Award for his work supporting the military.

Ankarlo built his radio career across major markets including Philadelphia, New York City, Nashville, St. Louis, and Dallas, hosting Ankarlo Mornings on KLIF in Dallas before moving to KTAR in Phoenix, Arizona.
