David McCluggage

DAVID McCLUGGAGE, D.V.M., C.V.A., is a veterinarian and certified veterinary acupuncturist with more than four decades of practice in complementary and alternative veterinary medicine. He is the author of Holistic Care for Birds: A Manual of Wellness and Healing, co-written with Pamela Leis Higdon.

The American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association named McCluggage Holistic Veterinarian of the Year for 2000. He is a past president of the Association of Avian Veterinarians, a graduate of Colorado State University (1981), and served on the Board of Directors of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association.

McCluggage founded Chaparral Animal Health Center in Longmont, Colorado, and served as a columnist for Natural Pet Magazine.

David lives in Longmont, Colorado.
