DEBORAH HOBLER KAHANE is a health educator for the American Cancer Society and a breast cancer survivor. She is the author of No Less a Woman: Femininity, Sexuality, and Breast Cancer and No Less a Woman: Ten Women Shatter the Myths About Breast Cancer.
Kahane’s first edition drew on interviews with ten women of diverse ages and backgrounds to explore the psychological effects of breast cancer; the revised and expanded second edition was published by Hunter House.
When she’s not writing, Kahane works to present firsthand accounts of breast cancer survivors, addressing issues of body image, intimacy, femininity, and identity. This work as a health educator shapes her exploration of the psychological dimensions of breast cancer throughout her writing.
Deborah Hobler Kahane’s books are published by Hunter House, an imprint of Turner Publishing.
