DEBRA L. RUEGG is a principal and senior consultant with the LarsonAllen Public Service Group, a financial management consulting firm serving nonprofits, foundations, and entrepreneurial government entities. Her books include Budgeting Your Way to Financial Stability and Bookkeeping Basics: What Every Nonprofit Bookkeeper Needs to Know.

Ruegg has worked extensively with local and national foundations and nonprofits on financial assessments, financial systems, internal operating systems, and organizational assessments and design.

When she’s not writing, Ruegg applies her financial management expertise directly through consulting work with nonprofit and government clients. Much of her writing addresses the practical financial challenges facing nonprofit organizations and their staff.
