Dennis Kenny

REV. DR. DENNIS KENNY is a psychologist, theologian, and spiritual caregiver, and the author of Promise of the Soul: Identifying and Healing Your Spiritual Agreements, Book of Weeks: A Road Map for Transformational Education, and Breaking the Spiritual Care Code: Toward a Standard of Practice.

Kenny received the Distinguished Service Award, the ACPE’s highest honor for contributions to Clinical Pastoral Education and Spiritual Care. He holds a Master of Sacred Theology and a Doctor of Ministry, Cum Laude, from Andover Newton Theological School, and an M.Div. from Evangelical Lutheran Theological Seminary.

When not writing, Kenny has served as founding Director of the Institute for Health and Healing at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, and as Director of Spiritual Care and Co-Director of Healing Services at the Cleveland Clinic. This work in institutional spiritual care forms the foundation of his writing.
