Derek Lin

DEREK LIN is a Taiwanese-American author specializing in Tao philosophy, with books translated into multiple languages worldwide. His recent books include The Tao of Tranquility, The Tao of Happiness and The Tao of Wisdom.

Lin serves as director of Tao Studies at the Great Tao Foundation of America and as webmaster of Taoism.net. His translation Tao Te Ching: Annotated & Explained is an award-winning title published in 2006.

When not writing, Lin teaches virtual classes on Tao philosophy, free to the public, drawing on decades of study under teachers including Grandmaster Chen Deyang and Master Wu Han-Yih. That deep grounding in the classical tradition shapes all of his work.
