Eugene J. Palka

EUGENE J. PALKA is a Colonel in the United States Army and a professor of geography who has authored or co-authored more than 15 books on cultural, historical, environmental, and military geography.

Palka holds a B.S. from the United States Military Academy at West Point, an M.A. in geography from Ohio University, and a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He served as Professor and Head of the Department of Geography and Environmental Engineering at West Point before becoming Director of Student-Athlete Academic Services at Eastern Kentucky University.
