Gerhard Klösch

GERHARD KLÖSCH holds degrees in psychology, political science, and public health, and has spent over two decades affiliated with the Department of Neurology at the Medical University of Vienna. He is the author of numerous scientific publications and books on sleep and dreams, including works co-authored with Josef Zeitlhofer and Brigitte Holzinger.

Klösch is a member and chair at the Institute for Sleep-Wake Research in Vienna. He co-developed the Holzinger & Klösch Sleep Coaching method, a Gestalt therapy-based approach to the non-pharmacological treatment of sleep disorders.

When not writing, Klösch works as a sleep and dream researcher whose focus spans sleep-wake rhythm, chronobiology, vigilance, and sociocultural influences on sleep and dreaming. This research foundation underpins all of his published work in the field.
