Hans Rockenwagner

HANS ROCKENWAGNER is a classically trained chef, restaurateur, and baker with more than three decades of experience in Los Angeles, and the author of Das Cookbook.

Rockenwagner is the recipient of the James Beard Rising Chef Award and has been recognized on Gourmet magazine’s Top 10 Restaurants list.

When not writing, Rockenwagner operates a portfolio of cafes and bakeries across Los Angeles, including 3 Square Café and Café Rockenwagner in Brentwood, and is an accomplished woodworker who has designed and built furniture for his restaurants.

Hans lives in Los Angeles, California.
