James Dowd

JAMES DOWD, MD, is a rheumatologist, Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, and founder of the Arthritis Institute of Michigan. He is the author of The Vitamin D Cure and its revised edition.

The American College of Rheumatology awarded Dowd a Physician-Scientist Development Award for his research on superantigens in 1993. He is board certified in internal medicine, adult rheumatology, and pediatric rheumatology, and has appeared frequently on radio and television as an expert on vitamin D.

James lives in Brighton, Michigan.
