Jeanne Bell

JEANNE BELL, MNA, is the CEO of CompassPoint Nonprofit Services, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, and the author of three books on nonprofit leadership and financial strategy. Her recent books include The Sustainability Mindset, Nonprofit Sustainability: Making Strategic Decisions for Financial Viability and Financial Leadership for Nonprofit Executives: Guiding Your Organization to Long-Term Success.

Bell has served on the boards of the Alliance for Nonprofit Management and The Nonprofit Quarterly, and has conducted research on nonprofit executive leadership, including the Daring to Lead 2011 national study.

When she is not writing, Bell draws on her experience as a CFO and COO, as well as extensive consulting work in leadership and organizational development for nonprofit organizations. Much of her work explores the financial viability and long-term sustainability of the nonprofit sector.
