Jerry Bonkowski

JERRY BONKOWSKI is a sportswriter and journalist who has specialized in motorsports for more than 35 years, covering more than 1,500 races across NASCAR, IndyCar, NHRA, and Formula One. He is the author of Trading Paint: 101 Great NASCAR Debates.

Bonkowski has won awards from The Associated Press and the National Motorsports Press Association. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Broadcast Communications from Columbia College in Chicago and a Master’s degree in Sports Administration from Ohio University.

When not writing, Bonkowski serves as editor and publisher of AutoRacingDigest.com, launched in partnership with Sports Illustrated, and is an on-air personality for SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. His work draws on fifteen years as a senior motorsports writer for USA Today and additional staff roles at ESPN.com, Yahoo Sports, and NBC Sports.
