JOANNA WALKER is the author of The New Doberman Pinscher and The Doberman Pinscher: Brains and Beauty, and wrote the Pilot Dog column for The Doberman Quarterly.
Walker bred and showed Dobermans for 45 years under the kennel name Marks-Tey Dobermans, producing many Champions. In 1982, her goal of breeding Dobermans qualified to serve as guide dogs for the blind was realized through the Pilot Dogs program; for 17 years she bred, recruited, and trained Dobermans to donate to the program.
When she’s not writing, Walker donates all royalties from The Doberman Pinscher: Brains and Beauty to Pilot Dogs. Her books reflect a lifetime dedicated to the welfare and development of the Doberman breed.
Joanna lives in the United States.
Joanna Walker’s books are published by Howell Book House, an imprint of Turner Publishing.
