Joseph Woodruff

JOSEPH A. "WOODY" WOODRUFF is an attorney and judge with two books on University of Alabama football. His recent books include Remembering University of Alabama Football and Historic Photos of University of Alabama Football.

Woodruff earned his B.A. and J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law, where he received the Hugo Black Award and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. He served as a JAG officer in the U.S. Army, retiring at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, and was a partner in the litigation group at Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis, LLP before becoming a judge.

When he’s not writing, Woodruff publishes newspaper columns and blogs on college football. That interest in the sport anchors both of his books.

Joseph lives in Franklin, Tennessee.
