Julie Ann Rach

JULIE ANN RACH is an author and editor who has published multiple titles on pet birds, including Why Does My Bird Do That: A Guide to Parrot Behavior, The Simple Guide to Bird Care & Training and Guide to Backyard Birds.

Rach served as editor of Bird Talk magazine and assisted in the preparation of the first issue of Birds USA.

When she’s not writing, Rach draws on years of personal experience as an avian enthusiast, including a decade living with Sindbad, an African grey parrot. That hands-on knowledge with birds is central to her practical guides on parrot behavior and bird care.
