About the author
KAY-LAUREL FISCHER is a licensed psychologist with more than ten years of professional focus on women’s issues and domestic abuse. She is the co-author of Journey Beyond Abuse: A Step-By-Step Guide to Facilitating Women’s Domestic Abuse Groups and Moving Beyond Abuse: Stories and Questions for Women Who Have Lived with Abuse.
Fischer holds an MA from the Alfred Adler Institute and is a member of Minnesota Women’s Psychologists. She worked with the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation Community Assistance Program in St. Paul, Minnesota.
When not writing, Fischer practiced as a counseling psychologist serving women affected by domestic abuse. Both companion volumes reflect that sustained clinical focus.
