Kitty Harris

KITTY S. HARRIS is Professor Emeritus at Texas Tech University and CEO of No Life Wasted, a research, education, and addiction recovery consulting company. She is the author of Women and Recovery: Finding Hope and co-editor of Substance Abuse Recovery in College.

Harris holds a Ph.D. and LCDC credential and served for twelve years as Director of the Center for the Study of Addiction and Recovery at Texas Tech University. Her work drew national coverage in the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, CNN, and the NBC Today Show.

When not writing, Harris leads RecoverOnline, an online treatment program for alcohol and substance use disorders, and previously served as Executive Director of the Ranch at Dove Tree, a residential alcohol and drug treatment center. This work directly informs her writing on addiction and recovery.
