Lester Packer

LESTER PACKER was an American biochemist and molecular cell biologist who published over 700 scientific papers and more than 100 books on antioxidants and health.

Packer received three honorary doctoral degrees and was awarded the Chevalier de l'Ordre National du Mérite. He earned his Ph.D. from Yale University and held professorships at the University of California, Berkeley and the University of Southern California’s School of Pharmacy.

Packer served as President of the Society for Free Radical Research International and as founder and Honorary President of the Oxygen Club of California.
