Lydia Hanich

LYDIA HANICH, licensed marriage and family therapist and psychotherapist specializing in eating disorders and body image, is the author of Honey, Does This Make My Butt Look Big?: A Couple’s Guide to Food and Body Talk.

Hanich holds an MA and LMFT credential and has specialized in treating eating disorders and body image issues since 1984. She has helped design and implement numerous eating disorder treatment programs across the country.

When she’s not writing, Hanich works as a psychotherapist and speaks frequently to public audiences on eating disorders and body image. Her book addresses couples navigating conversations about food, weight, body image, exercise, sexuality, and eating disorders.

Lydia lives in Santa Cruz, California.
