Megan Moreno

MEGAN A. MORENO, MD, MSEd, MPH, is a physician-researcher and Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where she also serves as Vice Chair of Academic Affairs for the Department of Pediatrics and academic division chief.

Moreno received her MD from George Washington University and holds additional graduate degrees from UW–Madison and the University of Washington. She is Principal Investigator of the Social Media and Adolescent Health Research Team and co-medical director of the American Academy of Pediatrics' Center of Excellence on Social Media and Youth Mental Health. In 2022 she received the American Pediatric Society’s Norman J. Siegel Outstanding Science Award.

When not writing, Moreno specializes in adolescent medicine, focusing on the intersection of technology and youth health. This work informs her research and writing on social media and young people.
