Paula Petry

PAULA PETRY, PhD, held a faculty position in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Miami School of Medicine for twelve years, where she developed training programs for pediatricians, psychologists, social workers, and other health care professionals serving children with special needs and their families.

Petry founded what is now one of the leading parent advocacy organizations in the country and holds a doctorate.

When she’s not writing, Petry practices energy medicine, sound healing, and the expressive arts, offering retreats, workshops, and individual shamanic healing sessions nationally and internationally, and serves as co-owner of the Light of Heart Sanctuary.

Paula lives in upstate New York.
