Phyllis Stoffman

PHYLLIS STOFFMAN is a public health nurse and author specializing in infectious disease. She is the author of The Family Guide to Preventing and Treating 100 Infectious Diseases.

Stoffman worked as an infection-control nurse at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, one of the leading pediatric hospitals in the United States.

When she’s not writing, Stoffman draws on her frontline nursing experience to make infectious disease information accessible to the general public. Her work covering the transmission, prevention, and treatment of 100 infectious diseases grew directly from her experience during the U.S. measles epidemic of 1989 to 1991.

Phyllis Stoffman’s books are published by Trade Paper Press, an imprint of Turner Publishing.
