Rabbi Eric Eisenkramer

RABBI ERIC EISENKRAMER is a Reform rabbi ordained from the Hebrew Union College in New York City and the co-author, with Rev. Michael Attas, MD, of Fly Fishing—The Sacred Art: Casting a Fly as Spiritual Practice.

Eisenkramer holds an undergraduate degree from Tufts University. He served as spiritual leader of Temple Shearith Israel in Ridgefield, Connecticut, and later as senior rabbi of Temple B'nai Shalom in East Brunswick, New Jersey. He contributes to Trout magazine and Reform Judaism magazine.

When he’s not writing, Eisenkramer pursues fly fishing and maintains the blog The Fly Fishing Rabbi. His co-authored book draws directly on that passion, exploring fly fishing as a form of spiritual practice.

Eric lives in East Brunswick, New Jersey, with his wife Marcela Betzer and their twin children.

Rabbi Eric Eisenkramer’s books are published by SkyLight Paths, an imprint of Turner Publishing.
