LifeLights™—help for wholeness & healing—is a high-quality, uniquely Jewish pastoral care resource.

LifeLights™ are inspirational, informational booklets about challenges to our emotional and spiritual lives and how to deal with them. Each of the LifeLight topics is written by a wise and caring soul—someone you probably know or know about—who knows the inner territory of grief, doubt, confusion, and longing.

Each LifeLight contains uniquely Jewish comfort, advice, and additional resources for help. In addition to providing wise words to light a difficult path, every booklet offers suggestions for further reading, and many list organizations—Jewish and secular—that can provide further help along with information on how to contact them.

Over 1,000 congregations, organizations, care facilities, and funeral homes bring LifeLights™ to people in need. We have received touching, powerful feedback both from those who have made LifeLights available, and from people who have used them. LifeLights are having a dramatic effect on people facing difficult times—providing comfort and even saving lives.

About the author

RABBI HAROLD M. SCHULWEIS was the spiritual leader of Valley Beth Shalom, a Conservative synagogue in Encino, California, for nearly 45 years. His books include Conscience: The Duty to Obey and the Duty to Disobey, For Those Who Can't Believe and Evil and the Morality of God.

Schulweis received his rabbinic ordination from the Jewish Theological Seminary in 1950. Conscience won the 2008 National Jewish Book Award for Contemporary Jewish Life and Practice.
