Rabbi Marcia Prager

RABBI MARCIA PRAGER is a rabbi, teacher, artist, and therapist, and the author of The Path of Blessing: Experiencing the Energy and Abundance of the Divine.

In 2010, the Jewish Daily Forward named Prager one of the Top Fifty American Female Rabbis. She holds a BA in cultural anthropology and an MFA from Pratt Institute, New York, in photography and drawing, and received rabbinic ordination from the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in 1989, where she also earned a Master of Hebrew Letters degree. She received personal smicha from Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi in 1990.

When she’s not writing, Prager serves as founding Dean Emerita of the ALEPH Ordination Program and rabbi of the P'nai Or Jewish Renewal Congregation of Philadelphia.

Marcia lives in the Mount Airy community of Philadelphia.
