About the author
RUNNER'S WORLD is a global magazine and website for runners of all abilities, first launched in 1966 by Bob Anderson as a mimeographed newsletter called Distance Running News. The magazine is the author of The Runner’s World Training Diary.
Runner’s World was renamed from Distance Running News in 1969, when Joe Henderson joined as chief editor and operations moved to Mountain View, California. Rodale, Inc. purchased the magazine in 1985, relocating editorial offices to Emmaus, Pennsylvania. Runner’s World is now published by Hearst and based in Easton, Pennsylvania.
