STEPHANIE LALAND is a speaker on animal-related issues and former director of the California Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals' speakers bureau. Her books include Animal Angels: Amazing Acts of Love and Compassion, 51 Ways to Entertain Your Housecat While You're Out and Peaceful Kingdom: Random Acts of Kindness by Animals.

When she’s not writing, LaLand leads workshops for people wishing to deepen their connection to animals.

Stephanie lives in Felton, California, with her husband.
