STEVEN LAINE is the only North American invited to join the Champagne Academy in France and the author of three wine thrillers: Jupiter’s Blood, Dragon Vine, and Root Cause.
Laine holds an MBA in hospitality from the University of Guelph and studied hotel management at Cornell University. He is a French, Italian, Spanish, and Canadian Wine Scholar, and a member of International Thriller Writers. Kirkus Reviews called his debut novel Root Cause "an entertaining, wine-soaked mystery."
When he’s not writing, Laine draws on a career in luxury hospitality, having worked for international brands including The Ritz, Hilton, Starwood, Marriott, and Jumeirah, and served as a Beverage Manager at a five-star hotel in London. That deep industry knowledge underpins the wine world at the heart of his fiction.
Steven Laine’s books are published by Turner Publishing.
