Timothy J. Sandoval

TIMOTHY J. SANDOVAL, PhD, is Professor of Religion at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, and the author of three books on biblical wisdom literature. His recent books include The Moral Vision of Proverbs: A Virtue-Oriented Approach to Wisdom, Money and the Way of Wisdom: Insights from the Book of Proverbs and The Discourse of Wealth and Poverty in the Book of Proverbs.

Sandoval earned his PhD in Hebrew Bible from Emory University. His teaching and scholarly work focus on the Book of Proverbs and the Bible’s wisdom literature, with particular attention to questions of ethics, justice, and poverty.
