About the author
VICKI ABBOTT is a Maltese dog breeder, handler, and breed authority with more than 45 years of experience in the breed. Her books include The Maltese: Diminutive Aristocrat and A New Owner’s Guide to Maltese.
Abbott served as Recording Secretary of the American Maltese Association for 17 years and chaired the Association’s Education Committee. She also co-owned Ch. Scylla’s Lite of Angel Bay and helped produce the official AKC Maltese video.
When she’s not writing, Abbott handles Maltese show dogs, including Ch. Sand Island Small Kraft Lite, the top-winning Maltese of all time, and Ch. Scylla’s Mina Maya Starfire.
