William Cleary

WILLIAM CLEARY was a former Jesuit priest for over twenty years, a filmmaker, and a composer, and the author of Prayers to She Who Is and How the Wild Things Pray.

Cleary served as assistant editor at the Catholic weekly America and authored many books on spirituality. His musical Chun Hyang Song was performed at the Seoul Olympics.

When not writing, Cleary was married to a Unitarian Universalist minister and was the father of two musician sons. His work in spirituality, music, and film reflected a life shaped by those close relationships.

William Cleary’s books are published by SkyLight Paths, an imprint of Turner Publishing.
