WILLIAM L. BREUER was an American soldier, journalist, and military historian who authored more than thirty-four books on World War II, the CIA, the FBI, and the Korean War. His books include The Great Raid on Cabanatuan.
Fourteen of Breuer’s books were selections of the Military Book Club. His book The Great Raid on Cabanatuan was adapted into the 2005 film The Great Raid.
Before writing full time, Breuer served as a platoon sergeant during World War II, landing with the first assault waves on D-Day in Normandy and fighting through five campaigns in the European Theatre, including the Battle of the Bulge. That experience shaped his focus on military history.
William L. Breuer’s books are published by Trade Paper Press, an imprint of Turner Publishing.
