ZACH FRIEND is a policy, public affairs, and communications expert and the author of On Message: How a Compelling Narrative Will Make Your Organization Succeed.

Friend’s book won an Axiom Business Book Award in the Networking/Communication Skills category and became an Amazon best seller in the Marketing category.

When not writing, Friend has served in elected office, including on the Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors, to which he was elected in 2012 and reelected in 2016, and has worked for presidential campaigns, the White House Council of Economic Advisers, the U.S. Senate, the U.S. House of Representatives, and the Democratic National Committee.

Zach lives in Aptos, California.
