Only Exception (Canyon Creek, 3)

Amelia Markley returns in the spicy third installment of her Canyon Creek series as Maverick Cooper struggles to be a good boss and not lust after the feisty new bartender they just hired whose looks and personality are making him feel some type of way…

Dylan Hawthorne has never met a man she could trust. When her scummy boss proves her right by offering a promotion in exchange for something more from her, she doesn’t hesitate to walk out and make a mess on the way. But now she needs a new job—and fast—if she wants to make sure her kid brother is taken care of her and her dream of owning her own restaurant stays alive. Thank goodness her cousin works at the only bar in town that also happens to need a new bartender.

Maverick Cooper is content with his life owning The Hollow Whiskey bar and watching his oldest brother and twin sister each find the loves of their life. He’s sure his time will come too and until then he’ll just try not to think too much about what (who) else hasn’t come in a while… Which may change when a fiery new bartender is hired to help them out. He’s determined not to be like all the other horrible men she’s met in her life, but he also can’t seem to resist her pull or jumping to her rescue any time she needs help. Will Maverick hold the line, or will Dylan learn that maybe there are exceptions out there after all.
