About the author
ANNA M. MILLER, G.G., RMV, was a jewelry historian, author, lecturer, and instructor who wrote five books on gems and jewelry. Her books include Illustrated Guide to Jewelry Appraising: Antique, Period & Modern and Gems & Jewelry Appraising: Techniques of Professional Practice, the first comprehensive work on gem and jewelry appraising.
Miller held the credentials G.G. and RMV and developed The MasterValuer Program™, a jewelry appraisal course taught worldwide. She consulted with individuals and companies on buying, selling, appraising, and interpreting the jewelry arts.
When not writing, Miller lectured and taught, bringing professional appraisal practice to students internationally. Her books reflect that instructional focus, grounding readers in the techniques of professional gem and jewelry appraisal.
